A creative marketing team’s strength lies in making attractive even those everyday things that normally would not shine on market shelves.
Recently, one of the most creative, beautiful and smart designs ever comes from Belarus, where the country’s largest electrical company, CS Electric, entrusted two artists, professional designer Angelina Pischikova and illustrator Anna Orlovskaya, with the task of creating a completely new packaging design that could differentiate their products from competitors.
The two artists drew inspiration from old physics books integrating diagrams of electrical circuits and illustrations of scientific experiments in the style of engravings. The final result is at once original and bizarre. Each light bulb of a different shape is identified with different insects, like a dragonfly, a beetle and a bee.Typography plays an important role in this design, while the decorations make the drawings even more realistic.
The idea of comparing the various shapes of light bulbs with insects originates from inventor Thomas Edison’s words that a firefly is an ideal cold light source. These simple words inspired Angelina and Anna, who therefore were able to create this beautiful and surprising packaging.
