Adam Hillman’s obsession for order
Known as Witenry on Instagram, this 2.0 artist is already a hit on photo-sharing social networks, regularly posting original and almost hypnotic compositions. Basically, Adam…
When we were children and used to go on field trips in the countryside with our classmates, our teachers often encouraged us to make a herbarium, that is to say, a small notebook to collect leaves from different trees.
Floating Leaves is the result of a collaboration between three Copenhagen based design agencies, Moebe, Paper Collective and Norm Architects. This series of botanical photography has been created especially for Moebe Frame, which produces unique frames.
In fact, thanks to a special printing technique onto transparent film, they have created the illusion of leaves floating inside the frames.
Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen from Norm Architects explains that the idea behind these new prints draws inspiration from the classic botanical herbarium, but it also expresses the freezing of time. Unlike the classic herbarium, where the leaves may crack, fade, or be subjected to temperature variations resulting in aesthetical changes, here through the transparency of print and frame the leaves not only look completely real but also they won’t fade over time.
Available in different sizes, these 3D printed plants on a transparent background are easy to match with every kind of interiors. Pending from the ceiling or resting in equilibrium on a shelf, the final result is simply amazing.
