The Cloud Villa takes its name from its majestic and airy staircase that unfolds in the heart of this private, design and luxurious home. Located in Shanghai, this house, designed by Kos Architects and Atelier Zerebecky, is built on three immaculate floors.
The space is airy and bright. The staircase, central point of the villa, separates the entrance from the main living space. It is in weightlessness, illustrating the lightness of domesticity in opposition to the weight of the sprawling Shanghai metropolis.
The main living space, with its elevated vaulted ceiling of about 8 meters high, gives the villa of Zerebecky both monumentality and fluidity. The other discrete rooms are designed to satisfy their own internal logic – rooms, kitchen, gym, theater, entertainment spaces, all connect to this staircase and the open central space.
Concentrated around this large sculptural white room, the spaces are as airy and luminous as the sky, integrating an elegant kitchen and a bespoke children’s room with pink stairs and slide.
