A multisensory coffee for the tea ceremony
Taking over the ground and first floors of a modern low-rise in Osaka, Tokyo-based studio I IN has created a coffee shop that is futuristic,…
A fondant-looking café has opened in Opole, a city in the south of Poland. Its white brick walls are decorated with panels that look like thick melted chocolate, creating a warm and sweet atmosphere.
In spite of its small size, this café is really welcoming thanks to the mezzanine and some bench seats on the first floor. The overall charm of the place is increased by the lovely design of the furniture and the hanging lamps looking like milk drops.
The interior designers realised a good space optimisation, since the bar and kitchen are located beneath the mezzanine, surrounded by a long slate counter. The stairs are simply indicated by a feeble neon light on the wall.
With only a 30-square-metre space, designers Roma Skuza and Bogna Polanska have successfully managed to bring a touch of uniqueness to this café, opting for a minimalist design and some evocative details.
