This is especially true for China, which is one of the world\u2019s biggest polluters but is also playing an active role in searching new ways to contain this problem.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3640\" src=\"https:\/\/www.archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city15-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city15-2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city15-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city15-2-350x233.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><br \/>\nTherefore, some ambitious projects have come into being, like a totally green \u201cForest City\u201d in Liuzhou. Imagined and designed by Stefano Boeri, an Italian architect already known for his \u201cVertical Forest\u201d project in Milan, this small green city will be built over 175 hectares, housing more than 30,000 people.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3639\" src=\"https:\/\/www.archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city14-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city14-2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city14-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city14-2-350x233.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><br \/>\nAir pollution, or smog, is a big public health issue in China: that is why the government often calls on external contractors to find some ecological, innovative and aesthetic solutions.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3638\" src=\"https:\/\/www.archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city13-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city13-2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city13-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city13-2-350x233.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><br \/>\nThe city will be the first of its kind to draw on geothermal and solar energy in order to be completely self-sufficient, getting rid of fossil energy and fuels such as coal and oil.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3637\" src=\"https:\/\/www.archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city12-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city12-2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city12-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city12-2-350x233.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><br \/>\nOf course, there will be schools, a hospital and some commercial areas to provide its inhabitants with all the comforts of a typical modern city.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3636\" src=\"https:\/\/www.archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city11-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city11-2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/archibat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/forest_city11-2-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><br \/>\nThe city will be covered by almost one million plants and more than 40,000 trees in order to absorb an estimated 10,000 tons of CO2 each year!
