Ce pont permet de fluidifier le trafic en p\u00e9riode de pointe et d\u2019offrir aux pi\u00e9tons un espace public de promenade avec vue sur le fleuve. Cr\u00e9er une nouvelle exp\u00e9rience visuelle et une meilleure circulation a \u00e9t\u00e9 le point de d\u00e9part pour la conception de ce projet, port\u00e9 par les architectes de Node Architecture. Les concepteurs ont propos\u00e9 quatre options pour le projet avec diff\u00e9rentes implantations du pont. Pour \u00e9viter l\u2019impact des foules apr\u00e8s les cours \u00e0 l\u2019intersection des routes sur la rive sud, le pont se divise en deux, pour rejoindre les trottoirs, formant ainsi un Y. Le tablier du pont a \u00e9t\u00e9 reli\u00e9 en douceur aux sentiers am\u00e9nag\u00e9s sur chaque rive qui pr\u00e9sentent une diff\u00e9rence de hauteur d\u2019environ un m\u00e8tre.
