设计总监 – Design Director / Principal

ArchiBat HR Asia is looking for a Design Director / Principal for an international company in their Shanghai office. The company is engaged in interior and architectural design, art consultancy, concept development and branding design. Projects varies from hospitality design to F&B, transportation and so on. Please check the following requirements:

 Play a major leadership role by orchestrating the work of project teams focused on design, development, and delivery of outstanding solutions for all phases on a client project. 

 Will engage in business development and be responsible for identifying and securing projects. 

 Establishes overall design concepts and maintains continuity of those concepts through completion. 

 Guides design team from concept through schematic design; and maintain continuity of design through design development, construction documents and construction administration. 

 Serves as interpreter of client and operator standards and budget into design. 

 Translates concepts into schematic design criteria 

 Ensures that the schematic design is communicated properly to client, design team and production team 

 Develops with the Project Manager and SVP, Principal in Charge staff utilization/work plan and scheduling. 

 Confer with client to determine factors affecting planning interior environments, such as budgets, architectural preferences, and purpose and function. 

 Advise client on interior design factors such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings or equipment, and color coordination. 

 Ultimately responsible for understanding client program, budget and criteria. 

 Determines level and quality of finishes. 

 Select or design, furnishings, art works, and accessories 

 Render design ideas in form of paste-ups or drawings 

 Use complex three-dimensional design techniques, including hand sketches, computer-aided drafting (CAD), Adobe Photo Shop, Rivet, Microsoft Office and related software to produce construction documents. 

 Participates in development of presentation material and helps maintain graphic quality and content. 

 Participates in client presentations/meetings through design development, then as required throughout the design and documentation phases. 

 Strong organizational, communication and relationship management skills 

 Communicates design intent to consultants and reviews work for conformance to design intent
