Archibat Asia is now looking for a Landscape Designer for a Landscape design Agency in Shanghai,
 
Work Location : Shanghai
 
 
Responsibilities include:
 
– With input from the director, and reception of stakeholder brief, overseeing design projects from conception to delivery.
– Full preparation of project framing and design documents within and outside of set templates, including proposals, construction documents, planting plans and representations, as specified by the directors. 
– Providing a high-quality, consistent design service, and design solutions that meet directorial, client and stakeholder requirements, as well as adherence to schedules and budgets.
– Close coordination with the Administrative Manager, Project Managers, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure that schedules and budgets are defined clearly and followed. 
– Responsibility for the overall design production process from concept definition to end-product delivery, on time and within agreed budgets.
– In concert with directors’ input, developing and presentation of design concepts to clients and stakeholders within agreed timeframes for review and feedback. 
– Other design applications to support marketing and branding functions, such as graphic design, portfolio management and website upkeep, as required by the directors. 

Required profile

Requirements:
 
– A professional degree in design of the built environment. International educational experience a plus.
– Proven work experience as a Junior Designer or similar role within an architecture, landscape architecture or other firm that works with the built environment. 
– Extensive experience with design and image editing software, including but not limited to AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3DMax, and Adobe suite software.
– Extensive knowledge of the design and construction of outdoor spaces, including hardscape, systems and planted landscape. Knowledge of horticultural best practice a strong advantage.
– Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and manage conflicting deadlines across multiple projects.

– Strong aesthetic skills and viewpoint. Ability to converse and collaborate with directors on aesthetic choices. The ability to think creatively and deliver clever solutions at the detailed level.
– Meticulous attention to detail.
– A desire to learn and grow with an established brand, working with top-level clients, into a world-class design consultancy. An attitude that allows for short-term flexibility in the service of longer-term goals. 
 
The Landscape Designer will be based in an office environment, with frequent site visits and a fast-paced schedule of engagements in Shanghai and occasionally elsewhere, and will sometimes have to work hours outside the regular nine to six working day.
