Archibat Asia is looking for a technical consultant for a European leading building material manufacturer to join their Shanghai office.
Core competences & necessary skills:
– You must be comfortable engaging with a wide variety of design and construction professionals and possess excellent presentation and IT skills.
– You must also be able to field queries from different parties from across the project spectrum utilising your superb problem solving and interpersonal ability.
– Your role will be providing system specific solutions which support the Commercial Teams
– You should regularly co-ordinate queries with regular customers and contractors
– You need to have market awareness, excellent commercial attitude and customer focus and you should regularly network with internal and external parties
Technical Support:
– Understand basic design, execution planning and constructional design
– Prior experience in consulting service on local building physical requirements
– Experience in producing drafts, specifications and detailed plans for architects, planners and general contractors
– Develop solutions to draft and design issues of our regular customers that match accepted standards and industry-specific standards of conduct
– Work towards supporting direct and indirect customers in order to obtain necessary building permits and write supporting technical documentation
– Ensure presence in and consultancy for professional groups to expand the corporate profile and to impact industry-specific matters for the benefit of the company
– Help, train and support the sales team in working with certain customers and on certain projects.
– Experience in monitoring of local technical certification procedures
– Experience in understanding regional building regulations and supporting commercial team with segment and regional development
Drywall, Facades, Roofing:
§ Experience in façade / exterior wall / drywall applications
– Experiences in steel building, light-gauge steel construction, special designs
– Experience in modular integrated and offsite construction methods would be an added advantage
– Capability of doing static calculations (according to local standards) as a preliminary support to direct and indirect customers
– Bill of quantity
– Basic (constructional) design, detail planning
– Building design in general
– Seismic design
– Execution planning
– Analyzing and verifying of the constructional design
§ Experience in flat roof applications
– Previous experience of technical specifications and designs for flat roofing
– Good working knowledge of the roofing industry, specifically flat roofing
– Good working knowledge of the standards and regulations associated with flat roofing
– Awareness in FM procedures, and RoofNav
On Site Support:
– Willing to travel intensively with in the Asia Pacific region
– Experience in practical on site demonstrations
Profil recherché
QUALIFICATIONS:
– Technical education with construction related degree: Civil Engineer / Construction Engineer / Structural Engineer or Architect
– 3-5 years working experiences and in-depth knowledge of the construction industry; ideally experience with façade engineering and/or in field of drywall construction material
– experience with construction sites or at construction planning office
– Presentation skills
– Experience in CAD. Prior usage of BIM
– Awareness in specification selling
– Fluent in English (verbal and writing). Chinese (Mandarin) would be an advantage
