Archibat HR is partnering with a renowned interior design studio in Shanghai to find a Senior Interior Designer to lead the creative direction of luxury hotel projects across Asia.

Our client is looking for a designer with strong conceptual abilities—someone who can develop the overall creative vision for entire properties, ensuring a cohesive and original approach across all spaces.

You will work alongside a highly respected Design Director (well-known in the Asian hospitality scene), contributing to a portfolio of high-profile projects for major international luxury hotel brands.

This is an opportunity to take true creative ownership of luxury hotel projects, developing the overarching concept for entire properties rather than being confined to specific areas. You will join a studio with a strong pipeline of future hospitality projects across Asia, ensuring long-term creative engagement and career development.

The studio itself offers a collaborative, intimate environment—around 20 people where ideas flow freely and creativity drives every decision. You will work alongside a Design Director who is a recognized name in the Asian luxury design scene, contributing to landmark projects that make an impact.

Importantly, the studio welcomes international candidates. While the position is based in Shanghai, they are open to hiring from overseas for the right profile. Chinese language skills are not required—only a strong portfolio and relevant experience truly matter.

Profil recherché

  • Education: Major in Interior Design or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years working experience in the Interior Design industry. Experience in hospitality-related projects (restaurants, bars, hotels, etc.) is a strong plus.

  • Creativity: A conceptual thinker with strong creative skills who brings fresh ideas and original perspectives to each project.

  • Technical Skills: High level of proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and 3DMax (or equivalent 3D modeling software).

  • Management Skills: Experienced in project coordination and management, able to handle multiple aspects of a project simultaneously.

  • Team Spirit: A collaborative mindset with strong teamwork spirit and a responsible, proactive approach.

  • Language: Professional proficiency in English is required (working language).

  • Global Mindset: Experience working on Asian projects is a plus, but we are open to strong international profiles willing to relocate to Shanghai.
