The Studio Director is a visionary leader responsible for shaping the creative direction of the design team, balancing artistic excellence, innovation, and strategic vision to deliver groundbreaking designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and drive the creative vision in alignment with brand identity and business goals.

  • Inspire, mentor, and guide designers to explore innovative concepts.

  • Lead creative workshops and stay ahead of design trends, technologies, and materials.

  • Establish creative guidelines to ensure quality and consistency.

Design Oversight & Execution

  • Oversee all phases of design, from concept to final execution.

  • Provide direction and feedback to ensure high-quality, impactful designs.

  • Review concept presentations and push creative boundaries.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure cohesion between vision and technical feasibility.

Team Development & Culture

  • Foster a culture of excellence, experimentation, and continuous learning.

  • Nurture talent and provide growth opportunities.

  • Maintain high standards of aesthetics, storytelling, and design quality.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Understand client creative needs and translate them into design solutions.

  • Present and defend concepts confidently to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with CEO and COO on studio management.

Technical & Project Coordination

  • Prepare sketch designs, material selections, and perspectives.

  • Conduct site visits and coordinate with M&E and other consultants.

  • Work with CAD and 3D teams to develop construction documentation.

  • Inspect construction and furniture installation for compliance.

  • Develop project proposals, resource plans, and budgets.

  • Manage contractor communications (RFIs, change orders, site instructions).

  • Prepare as-built documentation.

Profil recherché

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years in a senior design leadership role (Creative Director, Design Lead, or similar).

  • Strong conceptual thinking and ability to turn abstract ideas into tangible designs.

  • Expertise in graphic, spatial, interactive design, and branding.

  • Proficiency in design software and emerging digital tools.

  • Proven ability to foster creativity and risk-taking.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing innovative, high-quality work.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams effectively.

  • Deep understanding of UX, visual storytelling, and material innovation.
