Archibat HR is seeking a talented Interior Design Project Manager, Retail & Corporate Client Projects, for one of our clients, an award winning retail interior design studio, to be based in their Shanghai office.

The role:
You will help manage client projects from early concept through to completion—coordinating internal teams, reviewing design work, and communicating with clients and contractors. This role is not the lead designer, but someone who keeps projects organised, on track, and clearly communicated.
Responsibilities
Design Coordination
- Review design materials, drawings, and documents before they go to clients
- Check for clarity, consistency, and alignment with the project brief and budget
- Provide clear feedback to designers and technical teams
- Flag major design or creative issues to senior leadership
Client Communication
- Serve as the main daily contact for clients
- Present project progress clearly
- Turn client feedback into actionable tasks for the team
- Manage expectations on timelines, deliverables, and approvals
Technical Coordination
- Review CAD drawings, technical packages, and contractor documents
- Work with the technical team to ensure drawings are complete and feasible
- Communicate with contractors and suppliers to resolve design or technical questions
- Track RFIs, samples, and consultant feedback
Project Management
- Maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
- Coordinate designers, CAD team, vendors, and contractors
- Track progress and follow up on outstanding tasks
- Flag scope changes, delays, or budget issues early
- Support invoicing by tracking approvals and deliverables
Profil recherché
Requirements & Capabilities
- Background in interior design, retail design, architecture, or commercial design
- Around 5+ years of experience in design coordination or client-facing project delivery
- Good design eye and ability to review drawings and documents for quality
- Confident reading and reviewing CAD drawings
- Experience with retail, corporate, or hospitality clients
- Strong client communication and presentation skills
- Experience coordinating designers, technical teams, and external vendors
- Organised, detail-oriented, and good at follow-through
- Fluent in both English and Chinese (written and spoken)
