iCarbonX, the Chinese start-up focused on digital health, has been looking for a location for its new headquarters for a while, opting eventually for the south-eastern metropolis Shenzhen.
The company has great ambitions, working in the new field of medical mapping and human health digitization.
Therefore, the company’s new headquarter are meant to embody the subtleties of this innovation and to focus on in-depth medical research.
The Australian architecture agency GSA Group has embraced this challenge designing two elegant towers connected by the simple but perfect double helix representing DNA. A few bridges have been added to allow people to access easily from one tower to the other. The towers will also host a residential and commercial complex.
The designers aimed at linking symbolically the data and connecting the start-up’s employees through design, allowing them to live a unique working experience and to enjoy a stimulating but relaxing lifestyle.
Double balconies featuring garden terraces decorate each tower, offering a peaceful area to relax. The big patio doors and the perforated metallic panels create a spacious and transparent interior space, filling the working areas with life and light.
