Responsibilities:

Take responsibility for the management of cases pulled into the team’s sprints / milestones, the setting and delivery towards realistic milestones, and the overall velocity of the team.

Ensure all team meetings are run effectively, including demos to stakeholders (regardless of how technical the work is).

Act as the first point of contact for product owners and partners with the business to understand the value of potential work.

Track team velocity, accuracy of estimations, etc. Provides projections and timelines for planned work, accounting for other work and time spent by the team (e.g. personal development time, meetings, PTO, support work).

Track overall team health and morale and actively address areas that need improvement. Produce status reports and proactively shares with management and key stakeholders.

Identify impediments to the team, resolving where possible and escalating when necessary.

Review team backlog regularly and hold product owners and engineering leads accountable for providing enough detail so cases are ready to pull into sprints / milestones.

Collaborate with engineering leads and managers to assess the overall skillset and health of the team. Escalate to management if the team does not have the right skillset to deliver effectively.

Qualifications and Skills:

5+ years working experience, with 3+ years experience in project management area

Ability to take high-level long-term objectives and break them down into work that engineering
teams are responsible for

Strong written and verbal communication skills including good command of English language

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Experience with Agile development methodology, such as Scrum
