Archibat Asia is looking for a HR Generalist for a global independent experience agency in Shanghai:
 
Background
● Our client seeks to employ a full-time HR Generalist to be responsible for administrative, compliance-oriented and strategic HR duties
● Reporting to the General Manager in Shanghai

 

Mission
By taking ownership and accountability for all HR disciplines you will ensure the business meets all its legal requirements, that staff have someone to address HR matters to, and that we are attracting and retaining the best talent to drive the business growth.
 
Administrative tasks — also known as core HR — include maintaining employee records, administering benefits and payroll, and providing employee self-service.
 
Outcomes
1. Attract and Recruit the best talent
● Act as a champion for Company and lead the recruitment process for all hires, working with recruiters, headhunters, and direct channels
● Undertake the initial review of all applicants to filter out unsuitable candidates before they reach the next stage
● Manage the interview process and ensure feedback is received and passed on in a timely manner
● For successful candidates, run the process from reference checks to offer, contract and through to onboarding and probation reviews
● Maintain an up to date database of interested candidates and freelancer talent that can be called on when roles open up
● Track recruitment spend against predetermined budgets

 

2. Manage Employee Relations
● Become the main and trusted point of contact for all employees and manager queries
● Escalate queries to management efficiently
● Support management with a clear understanding of employment laws and best practice
● Manage the expatriate work permit and residents visa application process
● Deal with grievance/complaints, discipline/performance issues, and contract renewals/terminations
● Support the broader office culture to ensure a positive work environment for all staff

 

3. Ensure Compensation & Benefits are managed smoothly and accurately
● Consolidate monthly payroll changes and communicate to external payroll partner
● Support the management team with annual pay reviews and bonus payments
● Take the lead in any Medical Insurance issues and manage the annual premium negotiations
● Manage all employee communications regarding compensation and benefits
● Track market trends and provide salary benchmark data as required
● Work with colleagues at head office to provide quarterly and annual statistics

 

4. Support staff Development
● Lead the annual performance review process, supporting managers to complete on time and provide consolidated summaries for review by management
● Ensure score cards / job descriptions are accurate, succinct, fit for purpose, and aligned across the business
● Support managers with defining talent objectives and measurable employee KPI’s
● Provide local support to Head office for mandated global training programmes
● Develop and role out local training and development issues within a predetermined budget.
