About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and design-driven FF&E Designer for our client, a boutique interior design studio in Singapore currently expanding.  You will work closely with senior designers and project leaders, focusing exclusively on the selection, specification, documentation, and coordination of furniture, fixtures, and equipment for luxury hospitality, high-end residential, and F&B projects.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Studio Director and Senior Designers, you will lead the FF&E scope across all project phases—from concept narrative through to installation and final styling—ensuring design integrity, budget adherence, and seamless coordination with internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret the overall design direction and translate it into cohesive FF&E narratives, mood boards, and material palettes.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive FF&E specifications, including finishes, furnishings, lighting, art, accessories, and loose furniture.

  • Source and select FF&E items from local and international vendors that align with project budget, schedule, and design intent.

  • Prepare and issue FF&E documentation packages for procurement, including schedules, purchase orders, and installation drawings.

  • Review and coordinate shop drawings, cut sheets, and samples to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and purchasing expeditors to track lead times, pricing, and availability.

  • Coordinate with the project team (designers, architects, and procurement) to ensure FF&E selections integrate smoothly with all other trades and consultant requirements.

  • Conduct site visits to review mock-ups, approve sample strike-offs, and oversee final installation and styling.

  • Maintain organized FF&E libraries, both physical and digital, including up-to-date specification sheets and sample records.

  • Assist in FF&E budget tracking, cost analysis, and value engineering where necessary.

 

Required profile

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Product Design, or a related field.

  • Must have legal right to work in Singapore (Singaporean citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid work visa holder).

  • 4–6 years of professional experience in an FF&E-focused role, preferably within hospitality, luxury residential, or F&B design.

  • A portfolio demonstrating strong FF&E experience across completed luxury projects is required.

  • Deep knowledge of materials, furniture construction, upholstery, finishes, and vendor landscapes (both local and international).

  • Proficiency in:
    – AutoCAD (for FF&E layout and documentation)
    – Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
    – 3D visualization tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, or Enscape (for presentation purposes)
    – Specification platforms such as Specsource, Fohlio, or similar

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken). Additional languages are a plus but not required.

  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.

  • Willing to grow with the studio and take ownership of the FF&E process from start to finish.
