Archibat Asia is looking for BIM Manager in Guangdong Dongguan city for a premium international façade engineering company. With over 150‑year heritage, this company specialises in complex unitised curtain‑wall, custom cladding and high‑end exterior enclosure systems for landmark global buildings. Renowned for engineering precision, closed‑cavity façade (CCF) technology and advanced parametric / BIM‑driven fabrication workflows, it delivers full scope from design, computational geometry rationalisation through to manufacturing and site installation.
Job description
– Establish, implement, and enforce BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and BIM standards customized for facade systems across all project phases.
– Maintain central BIM libraries, family families, parametric templates, and standard details tailored for unitized curtain walls, stick systems, rainscreens, and custom metalwork.
– Manage BIM budget, software licenses, hardware requirements, and cloud collaboration environments (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360).
– Oversee the production of high-fidelity LOD 300 to LOD 400 facade models.
– Manage multi-disciplinary BIM coordination meetings with Main Contractors, Architects, Structural Engineers, and MEP sub-contractors.
– Perform detailed clash detection (using Navisworks/Solibri) specifically addressing anchors, primary structural steel/slab tolerances, MEP penetrations, and building movement joints.
– Leverage computational design tools (Rhino/Grasshopper, Dynamo) to handle complex, free-form, or repetitive geometric facade rationalization.
– Streamline the extraction of fabrication drawings, material takeoff (BOM/BOQ), CNC/CAM data, and shop drawings directly from the BIM models.
– Ensure modeled details accurately reflect manufacturing tolerances, thermal breaks, gaskets, structural silicone, and structural anchor connections.
– Lead, mentor, and upskill a team of Facade BIM Coordinators and Modeler/Draftspersons.
– Monitor project progress against schedules, resource allocations, and milestone deliverables.
– Provide technical support and site troubleshooting for BIM-to-field activities (e.g., total station layout integration, laser scanning comparison).
Required profile
1. Minimum 10 years solid experience in façade design
2. Proficient in Rhino+ Grasshopper /Dynamo
3. Profound understanding of LOD 350–400
4. Strong communication skills & management skills
5. Professional English speaker
