Archibat Asia is looking for Business Development Manager in China for an international architecture design practice renowned for its inside‑out architectural methodology, which prioritises occupant behaviour and business requirements before building. Its architecture practice covers shell‑and‑core building design, master‑planning, corporate campus development, high‑performance office headquarters, R&D labs and tech‑driven facilities. Beyond pure architectural design, the firm delivers full‑scope integrated services: workplace strategy, interior architecture, MEP engineering, sustainability consulting, feasibility study, cost advisory and end‑to‑end project delivery up to construction administration.
Job description
- Proactively develop new clients, projects and partnership opportunities.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships through client visits, industry events, communities, networks and other channels.
- Understand clients’ business needs and challenges, and identify opportunities that can be advanced.
- Communicate the firm’s design thinking, project experience and integrated capabilities with clarity.
- Collaborate with internal teams to move opportunities from initial conversations to project engagement.
Required profile
- English must be a working language, with fluency in Mandarin. Cantonese or other language skills are a plus.
- Proactive, people-oriented and genuinely motivated by client development and business growth.
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage people across different backgrounds and seniority levels.
- Experience in client development, sales, business development, client service or consulting. Years of experience are flexible.
- Experience in design, workplace, materials, engineering, real estate or adjacent sectors is preferred, but not essential.
- An interest in design, space, art, culture or business innovation is a plus.
