About the Role
We are seeking a talented Interior Design Manager to join the owner’s team for a landmark ultra-luxury hospitality and branded residential project in the Maldives. Reporting to the Director of Design Development, you will be responsible for safeguarding the interior design intent, managing the interior design consultants, and ensuring the delivery of world-class luxury interiors that align with the brand’s stringent standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design Management: Manage the interior design consultants (ID, FF&E, lighting, artwork) throughout all design stages, from concept to construction documentation.

Brand & Operator Alignment: Ensure all interior designs comply with the operator’s technical standards and the brand’s design guidelines.

Coordination: Chair design coordination meetings with architects, MEP, and structural teams to ensure seamless integration of interior elements. Review clash detection reports and shop drawings.

FF&E and OS&E: Oversee the specification, selection, and procurement of FF&E, OS&E, artwork, and decorative lighting. Lead the development and approval of mock-up rooms, sample boards, and material selections.

Residences: Define residence specification schedules and finish standards. Coordinate buyer customisation options and provide design input for sales materials and show villas.

Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site visits to verify design intent is executed accurately. Review and approve interior design documentation, specifications, and schedules.

Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with the operator, brand representatives, and internal teams to ensure all interior design comments are tracked and closed out.
Required profile
Key Requirements

Experience: 7+ years of experience in interior design management for luxury hospitality and high-end residential projects.

Sector Expertise: Proven experience with branded residences and international hotel operators’ technical standards. Experience on island or remote-site projects is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and design review software. Strong understanding of FF&E procurement, material specifications, and construction methodologies.

Design Sensitivity: Strong understanding of luxury design principles, brand integration, and the unique demands of tropical marine environments.

Leadership: Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
