Archibat HR Asia is looking for a Product Design Manager（Styling Space）for a Top Consumer Brand from US.
Location: Shanghai
Specific Responsibilities
Lead and collaborate with business partners to ensure the success of new product strategies and development.
Communicate and manage expectations aligned with trio team throughout the development process.
Identify opportunities and develop design strategies outlining how the designers will create deliverables and implement them for projects.
Manage all aspects of the design process that business uses to create and introduce products to the market.
Lead by example. Manage a team of 2-3 designers, evaluating individual design deliverables and overall team performance.
Monitor and maintain competitive landscape of competitive products for benchmarking design quality and performance.
Collaborate with both internal teams and external resources to ensure the consistence of design language and user experience.

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
Supervisory Relationships
Reports to Associate Director – China Design Studio
Directly manages design team of Styling Space category.
Organizational And External Business Relationships
Continuously work with key stakeholders of new product development team including Design, Marketing and Engineering…etc.
Frequent contact with industry leaders to remain on leading edge of trends and industry practices.
Occasional contact with design consultants.
Occasional contact with vendors and suppliers.
Attends industry trade show and seminars as needed to maintain awareness of competitor products, designs, and overall product design trends.
Education And Experience Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of experience in fast-paced product development environment with strong portfolio of styling space related products (i.e. furniture, bathroom vanities, lighting…).
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a creative design team.
Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university or college of design with academic emphasis on product design.
Strong sense in interior and furniture design with focus on CMF details.
Master’s degree and bilanguage (English & Chinese) preferred.
